I believe it is preserved in the Treasury,but it is not shown. In the Silver Hall is a magnificent collection ofsilver vessels of all sorts, some Russian and othersgifts from various nations. Prince Vladimir ofChernigoffs drinking-cup is remarkable for itsdimensions—it is 15 inches in diameter. The col-lection of foreign silver is magnificent. I amassured by many travellers who know our ownEnglish collections that we have nothing inEngland that can compare with the display of oldEnglish silver ware exhibited here, all being presentsto the Russian Tsars and Emperors. There arealso some portraits and statues in the hall. The remaining halls on the upper story aremainly devoted to collections of armour, weapons,and saddlery.
