| Описание | "Color without the warming effects of sunlight is a truer color...I was driving south in Southern Vermont when I saw this neglected old shed washed in multiple layers of faded blue paint. The glistening effect of the rain gave the clapboard new luster like varnish on old wood. In the diminishing rain, I got the pictures needed for my painting, which, alas remained unfinished for years. The painting was rich in color but lacked focus. I decided I would return to the blue shed in the approaching spring to transplant a bank of irises. This messy task would ease my difficulties once back in the studio by adding flower naturally and with seamless effect. In a well-timed rain, I arrived on the sight of my old subject, trunk full of blooming iris (with thanks to a friendly farmer) only to find the shed newly scraped, sanded, and whiter than New England snow."
